Just a little over a week ago (April 17 and 18), Jennifer and I went out to Mill Ave. to evangelize at night. I did some open airing in front of some of the bars and talked with some people. I got some of the normal reactions; people asking things like why we were out there and people yelling. However, on Saturday night (April 18) things got a little different. Some of the people threw a few lemon parts at me (I think only two hit me) and apparently a lit cigarette. I would hardly call this persecution however, compared to what the saints of old and those in other counties suffer. I do think that it was a good sign that someone was listening. Overall, aside from the bits of fearfulness, it is awesome to get to tell people the good news of Jesus; that He saved me and He can do the same for them.
